All of those are attainable things. But each of them requires me to change. Looking more polished will require me taking the time to put myself together. Being calmer will require me not to be in a rush all the time. Having a sense of peace and purpose will require me to ponder bigger things. And bringing peace and happiness to others will require me to find peace and happiness within myself and to always consider the plight of others.
What if the answer to each of those things is simple? And what if they're all interconnected? What I mean is, what if all I need to do is get up earlier? That may sound overly simplistic, but wouldn't it mean I'd start off my day less rushed? Wouldn't I have more time to get ready and to look fresh and feel confident? Wouldn't that give me more time later on to do things like read that often get discarded in my daily affairs? And wouldn't I be more inclined to find peace and happiness within myself and to consider the plight of others if all of the aforementioned things were true?
That's reason #85: small changes make a big difference.
